Deshawn came to Family First with over a decade of experience in personal growth management and early childhood education. Deshawn is actively working toward his designation as a Certified Addiction Counselor through the Florida Certification Board. Deshawn takes pride in supporting our adolescent boys to get their lives back on track. 

Deshawn’s approach is to use a combination of compassion, curiosity and sharing his personal experience to help encourage, motivate, and promote change. From personal experience, Deshawn has seen the negative impact that mental health and substance use disorders can have on a young man’s life and has a passion for showing adolescents that sobriety and well-being are possible with the right kind of support.
