Family First’s Pinnacle Day Program is a partial hospitalization (PHP) level of care. It doesn’t require a stay in a residential center, but it provides more support than a standard outpatient program or one-off appointments with a therapist.
What is a PHP?
A partial hospitalization program is a level of behavioral health treatment that provides intensive and structured care. PHPs are designed for those who do not require 24-hour care from a team of professionals but still need more support than what meeting with someone once a week (or less often) can offer.
Family First’s Pinnacle Day Program offers PHP-level support for a range of conditions, including but not limited to:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- ADHD
- Bipolar disorder
- OCD
- Gaming or screen addiction
- Trauma and PTSD
- Impulse control issues
Our program doesn’t just help teens manage and cope with their symptoms. Here, teens develop the skills they need to make improvements and find a path they’re excited to take.
How the Pinnacle Day Program is different
The Pinnacle Day Program focuses on small groups and specialized care. Our teens don’t just stay in classrooms all day or talk with therapists about what’s going on. Instead, the Family First team is working with them to get curious about their mental health so they can explore what they’re feeling. They’ll learn that there are ways to use what they’re already good at to make life more manageable so they can achieve what they want.
Teens work with each other and licensed professionals to learn how to better manage their time, process their feelings, and express themselves through creative outlets. They’ll also work one-on-one with our team in individual sessions and during study time, where they’ll keep up with their schoolwork.

Frequently asked questions
What is an adolescent PHP?
An adolescent partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a level of behavioral health treatment for teens. PHPs are usually five days a week for about seven hours a day.
How long is a typical PHP program?
It depends. Many teens in the Pinnacle Day Program are in treatment from 6–12 weeks.
How much does PHP cost?
The price you pay for your teen’s treatment may vary. Your insurance coverage, what kind of services are right for your teen, and how long they’ll need support will determine how much it costs.
What are the benefits of partial hospitalization?
Teens who participate in a PHP can find better ways to cope with their mental health. Rather than lashing out, isolating, or endlessly playing games, they can learn to express how they feel and be more accepting. As a result, many do better in school, stay on track for a career or college, and have stronger relationships with their friends and families.
