The Family First Adolescent Rehab Program in Florida

Adolescent mental health is complex, affecting every area of life. It requires attention to more than just feelings or behaviors. Our innovative behavioral health program provides best-in-class treatment tailored to each of our clients. When teens start at Family First, they receive compassion and guidance that supports their journey forward.

Our treatment program includes:

Therapy

Teens in our treatment center engage with our team in individual, group, and family therapy. We use a range of evidence-based methods to foster healing.

Academics

Our teens don’t fall behind in school; they often get ahead. The Family First academic program targets high school graduation, college or career readiness, and professional development.

Continuing care

We stay in touch with families for a year after teens are discharged from our program. Alumni and aftercare support help everyone stay prepared for what’s ahead.

Parents and caretakers receive updates at least three times per week. Our case managers are also available 24/7 via text for extra support.

A better path forward for teens requires a healthier home environment. We support parents and families in identifying key issues, beginning their own healing, and learning how to support their children.

Teens at our Palm Beach Gardens, FL, center engage in stimulating and active routines, including paddleboarding, equine therapy, group adventures, and CrossFit.

We create a safe, supportive environment where teens can connect with themselves, each other, and our treatment staff. All group activities are conducted in groups of six to 14, ensuring everyone gets the attention they need.

Levels of Care to Provide the Treatment Your Teen Needs

Family First offers two levels of care that meet teens where they are in life. Our treatment recommendations are based on an individualized assessment of your teen’s needs so they can explore underlying issues and receive the care they need.

Residential Treatment

Our boys-only program helps teens 13–18 years old. Teens stay at our safe, secure residential campus with 24/7 support from an individualized clinical team. Residential treatment provides teens with a structured environment to address their mental health, build healthy habits, and develop essential skills for success.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

A co-ed program supporting teen boys and girls, our PHP offers a more flexible option for teens who don’t require residential treatment. Teens can attend programming during the day while returning home at night to practice new skills in a supportive family environment.

Pinnacle Day PHP

The Pinnacle Day Program is powered by the team at Family First and helps teens at a treatment center in the heart of Ft. Lauderdale. Here, families from Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach Counties can receive comprehensive support in a program that works well with most commercial insurance plans.

Not sure which program is best for your teen? We can help. Our team is standing by to start the conversation about mental health treatment for your teen. Reach out now at 888.904.5947 to find out if our adolescent rehab program is the right fit.

FAQs About Teen Treatment

When Should I Worry About My Teen?

It’s normal for teens to experience mood swings or behavior changes as they navigate adolescence. However, if these behaviors are causing significant issues in their daily life and relationships, it may be time to seek help from a professional. Signs that your teen may need treatment include drastic changes in behavior, extreme mood swings, isolation from friends and family, difficulty managing emotions, or engaging in high-risk behaviors.

The length of treatment varies for each individual based on their specific needs and progress. Our team will work with you and your teen to create a personalized treatment plan that includes an estimated timeline for recovery. Residential treatment often lasts 45–90 days. PHP treatment meets most days of the week for a few hours per day; teens may be in treatment for several weeks.

Some common mental health issues in teenagers include anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. It’s essential to seek help from a professional who can properly diagnose and treat your teen.
