Comprehensive Teen Mental Health Program in Fort Lauderdale
At Pinnacle Day, we offer outpatient mental health day programming to adolescents five days per week. Our partial hospitalization program (PHP) is tailored specifically to address the most common and complex problems that adolescents and their families face. Our services include both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a structured and supportive environment where teens can address their unique struggles. We focus on empowering our clients to become the experts of their own internal world using a clinical model grounded in developmental trauma treatment, ensuring that each client receives personalized care.
Supportive Family Involvement and Expert Clinical Care
Understanding the critical role of family in the healing process, our program includes ongoing family support facilitated by our experienced clinical team. We believe in a collaborative approach, ensuring that families are actively involved in their teen’s therapeutic process. Our sophisticated clinical model emphasizes the importance of relational connections, helping teens develop healthier coping mechanisms and stronger foundations for their future. Parents are provided ongoing weekly and as needed updates, as well as access to clinician facilitated weekly parent support groups lead by experienced family therapists.
Individualized Academic Programming
Recognizing the importance of academic continuity, we offer individualized academic programming tailored to each client’s needs. Our educational support ensures that teens can continue their studies while receiving the necessary mental health care, allowing for a balanced and holistic approach to treatment and education. This includes credit recovery and personalized academic or vocational track development designed and personalized to each client’s academic strengths and goals.
Unique Features and Advanced Support
What sets the Pinnacle Day Program apart as a premier adolescent mental health outpatient program is our advanced and highly individualized support, both clinically and academically. Our founders have decades of experience in treating mental health issues faced by teens and providing individualized support to families. The clinical model developed and designed through a developmental lens aims to address the underlying issues driving the problematic symptoms and behaviors our clients are struggling with. Our goal is to provide a pathway for our clients to become the experts of their own internal worlds while restoring connection and healthy functioning to the family system at home. Additionally, Pinnacle Day works incredibly well with commercial insurance, making our services more accessible to our families.
The Pinnacle Day Program Experience
Mindfulness
Days at Pinnacle start and end with mindfulness. Teens have “brain dumps” where they can openly and honestly share what they feel and anything on their minds. Morning sessions also allow them to set their intentions and goals for the day. The mindfulness sessions include guided meditations led by one of our professionals.
Academics
Every day, teens focus on academic work and complete at least three assignments per day. While working at their own pace with guidance from our staff, teens have the opportunity to make up credits and even get ahead. They’ll also have chances to have check-in calls with teachers and discussion-based assessments with virtual school instructors.
Therapy and Psychiatry
Teens get the chance to work one-on-one with a licensed therapist to address their mental health. They’ll also work with a psychiatrist who will monitor their progress and medication needs. Any recommended changes to medication regimens are discussed with parents before implementation.
Executive Functioning
Groups meet to work on executive functioning skills. Executive functioning affects the abilities to manage tasks, control inhibitions, and adapt to new or changing situations—and they’re often what parents notice when teens struggle with their mental health.
Creative Groups
Art, dance, paint, and garden therapies are all available to clients of Pinnacle. These activities provide a creative outlet for our teens as they process their emotions and express themselves in nonverbal ways.
Addressing Teen Mental Health Issues
Pinnacle Day Program is designed to help teens struggling with the most common and complex mental health issues. Our team specializes in addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, social connection and isolation issues, interpersonal communication issues, issues relating to self-esteem, OCD, ASD, problematic gaming, challenges with digital addiction, self-harm, isolation, and school refusal. We provide a nurturing and therapeutic environment where teens can develop healthy relationships with themselves and others, while getting back on track with their education and overall well-being.
Take the First Step Towards Healing
At Pinnacle Day Program, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of teens and their families. Our holistic approach to mental health treatment ensures that each client receives the personalized care and support they need to succeed.
