Lead Therapist

Oscar earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from SNHU and his Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. Oscar is a Florida Certified Addiction Professional and has received specialized training in the NeuroAffective Relational Model® (NARM®) for complex trauma treatment. Oscar started his young adult career in the law enforcement field, working with special programs and community outreach before switching to the mental health field in order to work more closely with children and families. Oscar believes in supporting the entire family system to shift toward more compassion, connection, and healing as the best way to support developing adolescents. Oscar takes an open-minded, compassionate, and understanding approach to work with every adolescent and family member at Family First, utilizing a variety of different therapeutic modalities and consistent communication to coordinate the best care possible.
