Experiential Treatment
We believe that effectively treating an adolescent client demands a tailored and sensitive approach that doesn’t rely on the typical treatment model for adults. Our behavioral health treatment model is tailored specifically to teens, and taps into their creativity, vitality, and sense of community. It teaches teens to connect fun with self-care.
Why Experiential Treatment is Important
Behavioral health treatment isn’t limited to therapists’ offices and group rooms: our clients explore art, sports, and nature in activities meant to stimulate the connection between mind and body. Teens who have fun in treatment are teaching themselves to correlate enjoyment with self-care.
Experiential therapies often reveal behavioral patterns and motivations, therefore illuminating the underlying issues which need healing.

Equine Therapy
Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy is a type of experiential therapy used for behavioral health treatment; that involves clients interacting with horses. Equine therapy offers therapists and clients the ability to identify and address a range of emotional and behavioral challenges. It is an effective form of therapy that has been proven to boost self-confidence, self-esteem, and trust.
Teens develop trust, communication, and problem-solving skills. These therapeutic activities are supervised by our trained and experienced staff and include grooming, feeding, haltering, and leading.
